Here are some easy-care tips for your hair that will take you only a couple of minutes.

Quick & Easy Tips For Beautiful, Vibrant Hair

Nothing is better than embracing your natural, beautiful hair. The curls, the waves, the naturally straight hair… we love it all! But we all have those effortlessly frizzy hair days or the days where our hair has a mind of its own and just can’t be tamed. Sometimes hair is not the easiest thing to care for, and sometimes we just don’t have the time. Here are some easy-care tips for your hair that will take you only a couple of minutes.

Check the Temp

First things first – check the temperature of your water. We often wash our hair in water that is way too hot. Washing your hair in lukewarm to cool water is the least damaging for your hair. Washing with cool water closes the hair cuticles, and locks in moisture, whereas using hot water can rinse away natural oils and fade your hair color – and that’s a no-go!

Brush Up

That’s right, we said it! Start brushing your hair from the bottom, and work your way up, kind of in a staggering motion. Starting from about 3 inches from the bottom of your hair, brushing your hair in a down position, and working your way up to the top. This is much less damaging than brushing from the root to the bottom. You should also note that brushing your hair with a boar bristle brush or a wide-toothed comb is the best decision you can make for your hair.

Drying Gently

One important way to treat our hair gently is by drying it correctly! Air-drying your hair is truly the best way to dry it. Overheating your hair with blow dryers and heated tools can cause damage in the long run. It’s okay to blow dry or style your hair occasionally, and if you must blow-dry, wait until your hair is 70% dry. If you want the best experience with air drying, add a leave-in conditioner like Naturtint’s CC Cream for some extra moisture.

Type of Towel

Believe it or not, the type of towel that you use can make a big difference. Terry cloth or cotton towels can snag hair strands and increase damage. Try drying your hair with a microfiber towel for best results!
